Lead Front End Engineer – Typescript, React, GraphQL, Javascript

 

This is a really interesting role that really gets under the hood of technology, with heavy involvement in design and architecture of apps and the framework they sit on. You will be building the underlying framework and APIs that the apps will use as well as creating their primary React UI library. The product itself is utilised by large global organisations and is often central to their business.

 

You will have extensive experience in both React and Typescript, with an innate understanding of the fundamental building blocks of Javascript and its associated libraries and frameworks. As such you’ll have considerable input over the design and architecture of the apps framework, suggest new tools and technology to improve the stack and constantly learn about new products, APIs and technologies. There will be some team management of other developers to ship dozens of new apps and integrations as more feature are created and added over time. It’s a not a big team and the company is c30 people, so you’ll have real autonomy day to day and a strong voice in helping to define the product.

 

In terms of experience required for this position, you’ll need:

• Expertise in building web apps with React.js
• Solid commercial experience with Typescript
• In depth understanding of the Javascript ecosystem
• Commercial experience with GraphQL
• Commercial experience with Node.js
• Any exposure to React Apollo GraphQL and Codegen would be a bonus
• An evangelist for good Testing standards

 

This is a permanent position, paying up to £100k plus bens and will be based onsite in Wimbledon (when safe to do so).
