Ruby Engineer, Rails, APIs, AWS

 

This is a permanent position for a Ruby on Rails Engineer to join a growing, well funded FoodTech business who are transforming how we interact with restaurants, bars and leisure venues.

 

The role in the longer term will be a mix of on site (London) and some remote working, so do be prepared to commute into the office ona  weekly basis further down the line (currently fully remote for obvious reasons).

 

You will be an experienced Ruby Developer, with strong commercial experience in Ruby on Rails, designing APIs and API-first web applications, AWS and good solid exposure working in a modern Engineering environment, within a micro services architecture, with good Engineering best practice. Understanding of TDD, CI pipelines, web authentication and Container technologies (Docker) will go a long way here!

 

Working with a strong team of Senior and Lead Engineers you will be exposed to complex architecture and will gain more experience working alongside Front End Developers, DevOps and Product teams, gaining exposure to serverless architecture (AWS Lambda) and helping to develop key tools for their core product offering.
