To work for a leading “tech first” software house that specialises in data visualisation software in Berlin. You will be a smart and creative C++ developer with a solid theoretical background. Working largely independently, you will be responsible for the whole range of activities when implementing a new feature and should be able to look at a problem from the user's perspective and discuss abstract concepts with fellow developers.
They are looking at C++ developers from any background or country for this position and who, ideally, possess a Computer Science degree or similar. For them, it is important that each person is evaluated on their own individual merits of being able to programme rather than what they are doing currently or have done in the past. In short, this position is open to all who have great programming skill and abilities.
As a C++ developer you will be working on challenging visualization problems, where you will reverse engineer Microsoft’s code and reinvent the user interface. They have extensive C++ libraries on offer to help you in this process as well as asking you to come up with your own.
Role:
• You must be able to come up with solutions towards a feature request or an idea that nobody knows how to present yet which will be either in concept or in code.
• Be able to explain the solution you propose to colleagues who will make questions and try to find holes to continuously learn.
• You will be comfortable in developing sophisticated algorithms and refining user interfaces
• All C++ developers will do architecture, design, implementation, customer feedback and bug fixing, as such you must be able and willing to do all the parts of the software development lifecycle
