Angular Frontend Engineer – Remote

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Frontend Engineer with modern Angular experience to join a market leading SaaS business operating in the sports industry. 

 

The business are looking for a talented, creative front end engineer to join their cross-functional and knowledgeable Development team to play a pivotal part as they build out a superb product to scale across the UK and internationally. 

 

Key experience required for this position is commercial expertise in modern Angular, experience building RestAPI’s and experience working commercially with a SaaS product.  You will have the ability to write clean code and using good practices (HTML, CSS, Javascript).

 

What you will be doing:

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining and enhancing existing code base on website and app
• Extending the functionalities of the booking engine
• Playing a role in the planning of new and existing features
• Production support – issue investigation, performance monitoring, production resilience

Ideal Experience

• Angular 4+
• Experience working commercially with a SaaS product
• Experience building RestAPI’s
• Good CSS/style organisation (knowledge of Less or Sass preprocessors)
• Experience with build tools (such as Grunt, Gulp, Webpack or similar task/build runner)
• Responsive design, mobile first, use of API calls provided
• Comfortable writing frontend tests (such as protractor, karma, Jasmine, or similar)
• Version control (Git)

 

Bonus points

• Commercial experience of app development, including but not exclusive to using NativeScript framework
• Good experience with any additional modern MVC Javascript framework

 

The right sort of Engineer for this business will be a self-starter who is keen to push their product to the next level.  You will be a team player who is also happy to work alone to complete tasks without direct supervision; is solutions focused and has a strong belief in documentation and testing.
