Senior Ruby Developer - Remote

Senior Ruby Developer, Rails, AWS, React, Remote This is a permanent position, paying £80k can offer fully REMOTE working (regardless of the current situation!) We are working with an exciting company building a Real Time Pricing Platform within the O&G sector and are in need of another senior Ruby Engineer as they are growing rapidly and about to expand into new territories. In terms of the stack, they are rearchitecting new services on Ruby on Rails and hosting on AWS, with the Front End build out on React. They have modern Engineering best practices, are building out robust containers via Kubernetes and have fairly mature CI and CD pipelines already. There are a lot of new feature to be built out as well as some exciting work around scalability too! If you are looking to make a significant impact in a growing tech firm and want to influence Architectural decisions whilst collaborating in a close knit, yet distributed team this could be the role for you. Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the CTO, experienced engineering and QA teams to drive the product
• Work collaboratively to solve complex mathematical and logical problems in efficient and elegant ways to provide our API with rapid and scalable services
• Use your strong understanding of programming best practises, common design patterns and standards to ship world class products
• Leverage experience working with AWS to build secure and scalable microservices
• Use Agile Scrum methodology to accurately estimate projects on time and complexity
• Own feature stories through the whole cycle, ensuring their quality and success
