Lead Data Engineer

 

This is a permanent position paying £80-90k basic salary + bonus + great benefits and would suit either a seasoned Senior Data Engineer or a current Lead, looking for an opportunity to be more influential. The role is offered as fully remote too – you must be based in the UK and eligible to work full time in the UK.

 

The business are a national firm, who are investing heavily in technology solutions to revolutionise their sector, pioneering change and are the clear market leaders in their field. They have a significant investment in the Electric Charging sector, with the contracts to roll these out across the UK.

 

You will be a well-rounded technology leader with extensive experience of developing high-performing data teams, and of delivering enterprise-class data solutions;  on cloud architectures. You will be instrumental in shaping the transformation of the company’s technology, data best practices, and team.

 

You will need hands-on experience of modern data practices and architectures (CI/CD, continuous delivery, automated testing, both snowflake and tabular models, data lakes, ETL, and data factories) and a Polyglot mindset (current stack is MS based (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SQL Server, Power BI, Azure). It would be assumed that you will have utilised other technologies, whether in production, test or home environments!

 

The technology division is growing rapidly, with the Data team no exception. You will have the opportunity to significantly impact an industry, shape and influence technology choice, best practice and approach, data architecture and help hire and mould your team.
