Backend Engineer

PHP Developer

A helpdesk software solution provider that's been established now for around two decades are now on the look out for a Backend Engineer either in their London office or Remote. The helpdesk software helps companies manage their communication with their customers and user base across multiple channels; email, live chat, voice, social media. Includes all relevant support tools such as ticketing, live chat, CRM, and knowledgebase. Clients come from a range of industries. Some of the more well known include: Microsoft, Vodafone, HMRC, Panasonic, NHS, and the US Department of Defence.

Requirements:

• Strong experience building web apps with PHP and Symfony and/or Laravel. 
• Experience with backend NodeJS/Typescript is desired but not essential
• Strong experience with MySQL.
• Experience with AWS is desired but not essential.
• Fast learner. Often experimental in approach.
• Excited to dive deep into new technology and new programming languages. We like trying new things if it'll help provide better software.
• Some knowledge of software architecture with opinions.
• Work well in a team and enjoy sharing your knowledge.
