Lead Ruby Engineer

Lead Ruby Engineer * Ruby on Rails * Docker * AWS * Cypress London/UK Remote
£90,000-£100k + upto 30% bonus

We’re partnering with a software business who are looking for a Lead Ruby Engineer to help lead the development and architecture of a new platform for their clients. Due to a major increase in new clients they need to scale the platform and you’ll be hands on diving deep into their Ruby codebase. You’ll sit in a team of 5 engineers and work under the CTO to both mentor and write code great code.

The tech stack includes Vue.js for the Front as well as ROR, Cloud functions, TypeScript & AWS. This is great chance for someone to become more fullstack and focus on Cloud and infrastructure as code services. The business provides a pay solution for retailers and hospitality venues across the UK and have seen a huge increase in revenue. We need someone who can help build an intuitive and reliable platform for the customers.

You’ll work across;

• ROR
• Docker
• AWS/Lambda Serverless/Dynamo/SQS/EC2
• Terraform
• Testing/Rspec/Capybara/Cypress

As well a huge list of benefits and the ability to work from anywhere they are offering a salary in the range of 90K-100k but they also offer 2 bonuses. 1 bonus is a monthly company incentive whereby if revenue targets are met you get 20% salary. The other is another 10% based on outstanding performance, this can also be multiple times in the year.
