Head Of IT – Head Of Systems – Cloud – Infrastructure 

A business experiencing significant growth and undertaking a technology transformation are hiring a Head of Systems to lead their technical function and provide technical and commercial direction.  You will be responsible for leading a small team of engineers and support staff, as well as managing 3rd party providers and ensuring a quality of service is delivered.  

The environment is cloud hosted, a recent move to Azure from on-prem is just being completed and the business process a huge amount of data on a daily basis. The data is process via an open source platform, leading to a mixed technical environment, so experience in as many of the following as possible in terms of support would be ideal:

• Azure
• SQL 
• Linux
• Postgres
• Large Data Sets

Their is a balance in the role between someone being technical enough to get hands on, advise and nurture the team with someone commercial that can help make good business decisions around technology with the exec team.  The business are essentially an ecommerce and fast paced SME and need someone that is not afraid to wear a number of hats as they set and deliver on the technology strategy.

This role can offer hybrid working, so some flexibility but will need to be onsite in Farnborough for a minimum of 2 or 3 days per week (post CoVid).
