CTO – Microsoft stack, Cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP) Data, ML, Hybrid remote

As a current CTO with a strong architectural mindset or existing Solutions/enterprise architect looking to take the next step up, they are looking for strong technical leadership and above all someone who is visionary and thinking towards the future.
The CTO will be a key member of a small Management Team and owns the future roadmap as well as directing the current software stack development and support. It will be a demanding and exciting role for someone who thrives on creating and developing; Someone who also enjoys customer interaction, such as attending trade shows, speaking at events, and being heavily involved in the Public Relations of the company. This role will also work closely with the COO whose team has the domain expertise to help to define new products.
This is the role for someone who has the commitment to join a small team dedicated to building a digital future.
Responsibilities
• Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
• Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage,
• Maintain current knowledge of technology landscape and developments,
• Track, analyse and monitor technology performance metrics,
• Identify new areas and create plans,
• Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity,
• Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture,
• High level customer facing position (RFPs, Execs),
• Key operational responsibility
• Travel abroad (Covid 19 travel restrictions dependent).
Skills
• Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role,
• Strong understanding of good engineering and architecture patterns,
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy,
• Understanding of budgets and business-planning,
• Ability to conduct technological analyses and research,
• Excellent communication and presentational skills,
• Leadership and organizational abilities,
• Able to work independently and as a team member,
• Strategic thinking,
• Problem-solving aptitude with the ability to sort through complex issues,
• Strong understanding of good engineering and architecture patterns,
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies.
