Data Scientist / Data Analyst

 

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join a small, existing Data team for a well established software Product company in London.

The role can either be part onsite or fully remote depending on your location/preference.

 

You must have strong commercial experience with SQL (SQL BI suite / extracting data with SQL etc), some Python scripting ability and experience with Python data libraries (Pandas etc). Ideally you will know Tableau and/or Alteryx for data visualisation, analysis and reporting (or similar products) and you must have a strong Data Analytics background and enjoy working in a broad role, with a remit for being proactive and suggest new approaches and solutions to Data challenges.

 

The team are utilising both ML and NLP techniques to further their Data offerings to their clients and you will be involved with new projects within advanced text analytics, sentimental analysis, leveraging Machine Learning. Any experience with SciKit would be handy here.

 

This would suit a mid level Data Scientist who is looking to take on a more full stack Data role (encompassing Data Analysis, Data Engineering and Data Visualisation and reporting) or an experienced Data Analyst who has an active interest in the Data Science space.

 

You will gain technical experience in those skills you don’t already possess and further hone the ones you do have – the business have invested heavily in AWS so you certainly get to know AWS Redshift very well. Other technologies used within the Data team include Luigi (similar to Airflow) and you will of course be exposed with both ML and NLP.
